I took a short break from the 12 questions with everything happening for the Art of Water. 12 questions will resume next week! Please send me a message if you would like to participate.
We could not have anticipated the great success of this year’s Art of Water. We had a record turnout that encompassed the entire town of Algoma and lasted all weekend! This event would not have been possible without artist participation from around the country and regionally. The art spurred many important dialogues about water issues that we all face, both within our community and globally. It is also amazing to see the vast range of art from both emerging and professional artists that comes together so perfectly because of the central theme of WATER.
Thank you to Annie Speicher for screening “Sustainable” and for leading a great discussion on sustainable food and water issues. We came away inspired and motivated to continue the event next year.
We also need to thank our amazing volunteers/committee members that work so hard throughout the year to make this dream a reality!
Thank you:
Kim Larson, Paul Marvine, John Pabich, Cathy Pabich, Kirsten Christiansen, Lynn Truckey, Nicole Woodard, Jimmy Eddings, Jennifer Wagner, and Sara Krouse.
A huge Thank You to our sponsors:
CTI, von Stiehl, Precision Door Drive, Forestville Builders, Denny’s, Artist’s Guild, Blick Art Materials, Door County Kayak, Forestville Builders, Nicolet Bank, Steele Street Hops, Taste of Ethiopia, Water’s Edge Artists, Wisconsin Public Radio
